Caution Fee and Refund Policy

All bookings at D’Vand Events Place attract a caution fee ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦200,000, depending on the nature, size, and requirements of the event. This fee is separate from the venue rental charge and is paid as a refundable security deposit.

The caution fee is intended to cover any damage, breakage, missing items, excessive cleaning, overtime use, or breach of venue rules that may occur during the event. The client making the booking is responsible for the conduct of guests, vendors, contractors, decorators, entertainers, and all other persons connected with the event.

After every event, the venue and its facilities will be inspected. Where the venue is returned in good condition, subject to normal wear and tear, and all venue rules have been observed, the caution fee will be refunded in line with our approved refund timeline.

Where any damage or other recoverable cost is identified, the client will first be given up to 48 hours after notification to carry out the necessary repairs at his or her own cost, subject to management approval. If the repairs are not carried out within that period, or if they are not satisfactory, D’Vand Events Place may undertake the repair and deduct the cost of repair, together with any applicable administration charges, from the retained caution fee.

If the total cost of repair, replacement, cleaning, or any other loss exceeds the caution fee paid, the client will remain responsible for paying the outstanding balance.
