Terms and Conditions

Welcome to D’Vand Events Place. These Terms & Conditions explain how bookings work, what clients can expect from us, and what we expect from clients when using our venue. They are written to keep things clear, fair, and easy to understand. By booking the venue, making payment, or using the space, you agree to these terms.

Caution Fee

A caution fee of ₦100,000 to ₦200,000 may apply, depending on the type, size, and needs of your event.

  • This fee is separate from the venue rental fee.

  • It is a refundable security deposit for damage, missing items, extra cleaning, overtime use, or breaking venue rules.

  • After your event, we will inspect the venue and confirm whether any deduction is needed.

  • If there is no issue, the caution fee will be refunded based on our normal refund timeline.

  • If there is damage that can be repaired, you may be given up to 48 hours after notice to fix it, subject to management approval.

  • If repairs are not completed or are not satisfactory, we may deduct the reasonable cost from the caution fee.

  • If the total cost is more than the caution fee paid, you will need to pay the balance.

Booking and Payment

  • Your booking is only confirmed after the required deposit has been paid and D’Vand Events Place has accepted the booking.

  • Unless we agree otherwise in writing, a 50% deposit is required to secure your date.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 30 days before your event.

  • If payment is not completed by the due date, we may cancel the booking after giving you reasonable notice.

Cancellation and Refunds

  • If you need to cancel, please send your cancellation to us in writing.

  • If you cancel 30 days or more before your event, any amount paid above the non-refundable deposit may be refunded, less any clearly explained third-party costs already spent for your event.

  • If you cancel less than 30 days but more than 7 days before your event, the deposit will usually not be refunded.

  • If you cancel 7 days or less before your event, you may still be responsible for the full booking cost if preparations, staffing, or vendor commitments have already been made.

  • If you want to reschedule, please contact us as early as possible. We will handle requests reasonably and in good faith, but changes are subject to availability.

Event Details and Changes

  • Please share your key event details with us early, including guest numbers, layout needs, equipment requests, and vendor information.

  • Where possible, this information should be provided at least 14 days before your event.

  • Any changes to the agreed setup or arrangements should be sent in writing.

  • Requested changes may depend on availability, practicality, safety requirements, and any extra cost involved.

  • We may decline requests that are unsafe, unlawful, exceed venue capacity, or may damage the venue.

Use of the Venue

  • You are responsible for the behaviour of your guests, vendors, contractors, and other people connected to your event.

  • Everyone on the premises must behave safely and respectfully.

  • We may ask any person to leave if their behaviour is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, or seriously disruptive.

  • You may be responsible for damage or loss caused by you or anyone attending or working at your event.

Liability

  • We will take reasonable care in providing the venue and our services.

  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or issues caused by events outside our reasonable control.

  • Each party is responsible for loss, damage, injury, or expense caused by its own negligence, breach of these terms, or wrongful acts.

  • For larger or higher-risk events, we recommend that clients arrange suitable event insurance.

When We May Stop an Event

  • We may suspend or end an event if there is a serious breach of these terms, illegal activity, a safety risk, serious property damage, or conduct that puts people or property at risk.

  • If this happens because of the client or the client’s guests, vendors, or contractors, a refund may not be available, except where management decides otherwise reasonably and in good faith.

Disputes and Applicable Law

We hope to resolve any issue quickly and fairly. If a dispute comes up, both sides agree to try to settle it in good faith first. If that is not possible, the matter will be handled under the laws and courts that apply where D’Vand Events Place is located.

If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions before booking, please contact D’Vand Events Place for clarification. By proceeding with your booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
